At the launch of the Glenwood Community Forum a pledge was signed by the Deputy Mayor Cnr Logie Niadoo and members of the community indicating there willingness to bring about positive change in Glenwood.

The Pledge was signed at a fuction after the first Glenwood Festival which was held from the 31st August to the 2nd September 2007. Those present included, Cnr Logie Niadoo, Cnr Sue Burrows, John Horne (Charmain of the GCF), Louis Arde (Principal Glenwood Prep), Trevor Kershaw (Principal Glenwood High), Businessmen.

The Funds raise over the festival weekend were used for the refurbishment of Umbilo Police station and the establishment of a councelling center for abused women and children.
